Established in 1998

In September 1998 Archipelago began trading from a spare bedroom in Banbury.  The company originally organised holidays just in the Azores and grew out of a whale and dolphin research holiday company operating from one of the islands.  That first year, just 35 clients travelled to the Azores with us and now we have over a thousand clients a year, many returning for several visits. We recognised that our ability and enthusiasm for organising often logistically complicated island hopping itineraries was something our clients really appreciated and we searched for another destination offering similar challenges with equally exciting experiences. Hence, Archipelago Cape Verde was born.

In December 2001, we moved North to Keswick in the Lake District and now have a lovely office in town with great views.  In September 2003, we were awarded our ATOL licence by the CAA and in January 2006, Archipelago became a member of AITO receiving the highest award of 3 stars for responsible tourism.
