Charming rural Guesthouse in the Paul Valley

Situated in the stunning Paul valley, you reach this charming rural guesthouse at the end of a very steep path (no access by car, luggage is delivered) which takes about 15 minutes. But the walk is worth it! The Belgian and French owners, Kathleen and Dominique, have done an excellent job renovating this old homestead and all the rooms are pretty, bright and simply furnished with handmade bedding and curtains. Traditional Cape Verdean food is prepared by Paulo, Dominique’s husband, using mostly home grown produce, and the breakfasts are delicious with homemade yoghurts and jams. Outside, there are two terraces where meals are served and there is also an honesty bar for guests to use. The top terrace is used as a kindergarten from 10am to 1pm and is lovely to see. It is a great base for walkers and there are a several short walks that you can do within the valley without a guide. The transfer to the ferry is early in the morning (6.30am) but breakfast is always served before clients leave.
Half Board is recommended.
